House Hunting

Tuesday - December 30, 2008

Today we went and looked at more houses. One of my dear friends watched BN for us (she doesn't really enjoy looking at a lot of houses) and we cruised through them. We went to all the ones we were supposed to, and low and behold, none of them were quite what we wanted.  Clint remembered a house that we liked last time we looked so we dug the paper out of our pile and asked our realtor if we could go see it one more time. He humored us, and when we got there, we wondered why we had waited so long to come back. Needless to say, it is the house we are offering on. We are meeting with our agent tomorrow to sign papers. :) We are so excited.

A very merry 'un-Christmas' to you! :)

Saturday - December 27 2008

Today I spent most of the day un-decorating our house. :) Then we took everything out to our storage unit. It was nice to have it all down. It really makes our already to small apartment TO SMALL! lol. Tomorrow is BN's last day as a sunbeam in primary. BC has been going to nursery. It has been nice to be able to go to class and actually pay attention, but I really miss having her with me. Well. Have a great day. Not much has been going on. Just cleaning and getting everything organized after Christmas and after lots of traveling. :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Thursday - December 25, 2008

Merry Christmas!

It has been a wonderful day. The girls were really funny. They didn't want to wake up. Even when I told BN that Santa had come, she just rolled over and pulled the blanket over her head and said 'i'm tired'!. LOL. I laughed and shook her again...same thing. Finally I grabbed her and pulled her up and she stood there like 'why?'...after all the morning rituals... (potty, etc...) I had clint get ready with the camcorder and we had the girls come in the living room where Santa had been. AHHHH!!!!! Screaming and running and things flying...lol...it was great! Santa didn't wrap his presents so they enjoyed and played. Well BN did. BC ran up to her pile and grabbed her new baby doll (first thing and closest) and then ran to Grandpa and climbed up in his lap and just snuggled in. LOL.

Soon most of the family had showed up for breakfast (we had favorite which is toasted bread and white sauce) really GOOD! Then we visited. When everyone had ventured back home, we continued opening all the presents that were under the tree (the wrapped ones) :)

The girls were spoiled and so were we.  My parents even were spoiled. :) lol. What a fun time.

After enjoying the presents and each other we started getting everything ready to go. It took us a while to get everything packed, but we made it, had our big truck filled to the brim (truck shell and all) lol.

The road back wasn't to bad, we got back in about 3.5 hours. We were really blessed cause the roads were supposed to be awful. But we got home and got unpacked. We relaxed a little. Enjoyed everything. Clint had to get up and work at 5 in the morning so, we didn't stay up to late.

I went through all of our movies and updated our inventory. In the middle of it I had to go help BN with something and when I came back this is what was waiting for me:

Today is CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

It has been such a fun day!

This morning we got up and went to the firehouse to see Santa! We were the first ones there so we thus, didn't have to wait in line for hours while little kids screamed and ran away. But, after waiting for the hour or so we did (we actually helped setup and things so it went by fast) the kids all went through seeing Santa fairly fast. But it was ok. We Had fun still. BC didn't go cause it was so cold and she has an pneumonia so my dad stayed home to watch her.

We went home and fiddled here and there doing things and relaxing. Then me and my dad and Clint all took off in my parents Polaris Ranger and we went and shot clints new handgun, and my 22 (that I got for our anniversary in 2006) and I had only shot once. lol. I did ok. I have to shoot on my left side...and I soon learned that my father does that too. How funny!

At around 6 or so we headed down to my bro John's and got ready for the traditions. Each family (mine, johns, and then my mom and dad) all got to make our own big pizza and put whatever we wanted on it. Homemade Family Pizza

While they were cooking me and my brother played around on the piano, and then he played while we sang some duets (most of which he wrote). After dinner, we all gathered around the tree (so to speak) and we read a story.

Then we let the kids open their Christmas eve present! Jammies of course. We found matching slippers for the girls too. How Cute! I got clint a pair of fleece bottoms with Mario Bros on them. And I got some with the words 'Dr. Pepper'. LOL.

anyways, When everyone was all changed we piled into two cars and drove around GR (which took about 20 mins to see ALL the lights in town) to see the Christmas Lights. It was so fun.

Then we went back to johns and decorated cookies for Santa. (unfortunately we left our plate at johns when we came home, so we just got some oreos from my parents cookie jar and used those for the cookies plate).

LOL. But we got the girls to sleep (without much trouble) and waited for santa to come. :) (wink). Have a great Holiday!

A Fun Day of...well...just about everything :)

Tuesday - December 23, 2008

Today has been great.

This morning we got all the kids bundled up (even a large garbage bag over their legs to keep them warm and dry) and my dad pulled them around on a sled behind their polaris ranger. BN loved it. Here is a cute picture of her:

BC hasn't been feeling well, and is breathing raspy so we took into the local Clinic here. The Dr there said that she had an pneumonia. BOOO!!! so they put her on zythromax. I hope that it works well. She needs to feel better.

My sister Suzette and her family came over and both of my brothers came up (they both live in town) (my other sister Paula couldn't come because of the weather.) We had a family get together. It was so fun. We had a big BBQ and played games. The kids ran around like crazy and had fun. Then since Santa couldn't make it (mostly because we forgot our suit:) lol...we had all the kids take turns sitting on Grandpa "Santa's" Knee. They loved that.

After everything was said and done and families had gone on their ways, we got the girls to bed and left grandma and grandpa to have 5 minutes of peace and quiet. :)

We went down to my brothers house and we and him and his wife Allisha all played games for like 4-5 hours. It was SOOOO FUN!!!. I love game nights...esp with people I love! :)

Well. Off to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day..well a long night! :)

Over the Snow and Through the Canyon...

Monday - December 22, 2008

Yesterday at church was wonderful. It was the Christmas program. What a wonderful spirit there was there. I love church. It always brings me back to my true purpose of being here on earth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ. I need to get my goals in order and re-arrange my priorities.

Today - Monday - I have been up since early and been going crazy because we left to go to my parents house for Christmas. I spent all morning cleaning and packing. So when Clint got off work we were all but ready to jump in the car and cruz down south. I was frustrated cause I couldn't find a case full of dvds that we take with us when we travel. I Can't wait to get back home so I can tear the house apart looking. LOL.

The drive was only supposed to take three hours...3 HOURS!!!...but it took us almost 6!!!! BLAH!!!!The canyon (about 50 miles long) took almost 3 hours. Then it took another 1.5 to go 55 miles. It was just crazy. Even thouhgh the drive was so long, I just feel grateful that we made it safe.

It is so good to be here at my parents. I haven't been here for Christmas since before I was married (actually the Christmas right before we were married so in 2002). LOL. 6 years. My mom has been baking like a mad women all day (putting my dad to slave labor where needed) lol. There was homemade apple strudel (secret family recipe that is to die for). Homemade bread, toffee, and a few other yum treats. How fun. It is late so we are just relaxing. And enjoying being here. I love there lights. They have such a beautiful display of the manger scene. Plus a lot of animated deer and moose. There newest addition this year (which I am sure several people in town will try to find for their yards next year) is singing trees! :) They are great. They play music and the lights change with the music (like the Bellagio Water Show in Las Vegas). They also have the cutest John Deer tractor with a Santa on it (the inflatable kind).

I love there tree. It is all decorated pretty and it has little John Deer ornaments all over it. It looks beautiful. Anyways. I had better get some sleep.

Family Christmas Party

Saturday December 20, 2008

Today was my family Christmas party. We met at a restaurant and had lunch and exchanged gifts, then we headed over to Sams Club where my parents gave each married couple (all five of us kids) money. MORE than I was expecting. It was such a blessing. We got the girls a few things and got us a few things. :) Saved some for later :)

After sams we went to wal-mart! (run-away). lol. I got a new watch and sunglasses. Clint got a pair of Carhart overalls (the padded really nice thick ones that cover you from wrist to ankle. And a few other fun things.

It was a wonderful day. I loved seeing my family. We don't get together very often. Only 3-4 times a year, and for some people that is 2-3 more than they want. (lol) NOT ME! I love seeing my family and enjoyed it very much!

Thanks mom and dad! for everything :)

More houses, family and fun

Friday December 19, 2008

Today we went to look at more houses. It was interesting. I don't know what we were thinking because the weather was so bad. There was a huge storm that came through ( I am sure you remember it) and it took us like 1.25 hours to get to the 1st house when it should have taken 20 mins. LOL. oh well. and unfortunately we didn't find one to offer on. There were a few really nice ones that we are talking about, but none that jumped out at us.

anyways, very tired from long day of driving no where! lol.

and Today my sister Paula and her hubby Jay came to visit. they are actually spending the night. :) then they are going on down to the Christmas party (but they have to pick up their kids first (all older)). We had a great night. It was so fun. We had a good dinner then me and my sis went shopping. :)

Clint and Jay watched the kidos. :) It was a nice little break. But all I could think of was them. Lol. funny how that works.

When we got back we had cheesecake (thanks Paula) and talked until all hours of the night.

I am tired. Have a great day!

We went to look at houses today! Our first venture out since we became eligible for First time home buyers again (it has been three years since we sold our last house). There were lots of nice ones, but one in particular that stood out to us. We decided not to offer on it yet. We still have more homes on Friday that we are going to see.

:)

have a great night!

Wedding, Reception, and Wow

Friday December 13, 2008

Today we got up early (very early) and got everyone showered (which was kinda hard since there were like 14 people that needed to shower). Anyways, then we took off to head to the wedding of Cecil (clints little bro) and Shannon. We were starting at a church were his parents had a breakfast meal catered. It was SOO great! Then we all got to stand up and tell memories of Cecil and Shannon...for some reason my mind goes blank when I am put on the spot and spaced my really good story so I just got up and babbled for a minute then handed the mic off to someone else, feeling embarrassed. LOL. oh well. After that we all headed to the Temple for the sealing. They were both previously endowed from missions so we didn't need to do a session. After the sealing (which was beautiful and we all bawled through)...I had to hi tail it outside to get ready to take pictures. LOTS of pictures. It was so fun. I love taking pictures. They were glowing. So obvious that they were newlyweds and so in love. I love that look. I love that me and my husband still look at each other that way. (aside from the occasional cat fight) lol.

After 3.5 hours in the freezing weather (YES IT WAS SNOWING) of taking pictures my most patient husband who had been waiting for me in the truck with not just our two girls but also one of his nieces picked me up and we headed back up to my in-laws to get ready for the reception.

YES! long day.

And since he almost fell asleep we switched and I drove (but to be honest i don't remember much of the drive cause I was tired too) but we made it safe. We rushed to the house to change the girls than ran down to the church to get ready to take more pictures for the reception. It was a lot of fun. It was so beautiful.

I really enjoyed it.

I will post some of the pictures soon.

Family here we come

Friday December 12, 2008

Today we drove up to my in-laws after Clint got off work. All of his family met together for the Family Christmas party. It was so fun. It was awesome to see everyone. We had a great dinner and activities then Santa came and gave gifts to everyone. After we got all the kids to bed, we played Apples to Apples. It is such a fun game. !!! We had never played it before, but it was awesome. Everyone (even his parents played) and we laughed all night long. But we shouldn't stay up to late (but we are) cause Clint's little bro Cecil was getting married in the morning.

So off to bed. Have a great weekend!

Jr. Jazz Game!

Thursday December 11, 2008

Today was our first Jr. Jazz game. It went, well, it went a lot better than anyone expected. :) Towards the end, the kids were finally understanding that there were two teams and that you had to DRIBBLE down the court not be a "quarterback"..lol...and that shooting the ball was the funnest part.

BN Basketball Game
BN Basketball Game

So they all fought for the ball, even though they were on the same team, and run to the basket (not always the right one) and shoot! LOL. Oh, but it was fun, and they got it almost figured out. So we survived. One of the parents was wise enough to remember snacks and drinks for all the kids. That was nice. The kids (even a couple from the other team that snuck in) loved it. lol. What a fun day! I am so glad that we signed up to coach. It really is a fun experience not just for me, but epically for BN. She loves it. I will work my best to keep getting caught up on things.

A Busy day of doctors and basketball

Wednesday December 10, 2008

Today was a crazy day. A very busy morning followed by going up to Primary Childrens for BN's GI apt. She is doing really well. After her appointment we took her to the lab for a full workup. lol. They had to draw her blood and they are doing all sorts of test to see if she is allergic or has any other problems like thyroid etc. So we will find out, but haven't heard anything yet and its been two weeks, so I am assuming she is perfect, OF COURSE!!!!

After that we drove like Haitis to get to Jr. Jazz on time. This time was a lot better. This was our third practice. The kids are doing well. We worked on the basics of gameplay (offense, defense, teams). They actually remember a lot more that I thought the would. Like I said before 'little ones amaze me'. Anyways. IT was a fun day even though it was busy.

BC Napping and Santa at the Library

Monday December 8, 2008

There's not much to report today.

Funny picture to share:

BC Naptime

Clint got home from work today and went to go get changed, walked into the girls room, and this is what he found...lol...she was supposed to be in her bed napping, but she somehow got up and migrated to the chair. LOL. we couldn't stop laughing.

ALSO...

We did have a fun family night. We went to the library where they had Santa come and he sang and danced. The girls loved it. This time BC didn't even get scared. Here is a picture of us.

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday December 6, 2008

I skipped a couple of days cause I don't remember if there was a whole lot that happened. I honestly have my planner out and I am just writing things that I had recorded in there so bear with me. :)BC, BN, SANTA

Anyways, this morning we got up early and went down the the Columbus Center to have Breakfast with Santa! It was so fun!!!

BN and SANTA

We went straight into large area where they had crafts and live entertainment, and then on the stage they had Santa set up in front of a large tree. We waited in line first to see Santa and then we went and gathered the stuff to make the crafts at home. Lastly we went out and paid a small fee to have a great big plate of yummy breakfast. Me and the girls were the only ones there so we just shared it and it was actually perfect. The girls loved seeing Santa.

BC wasn't all that excited actually and she got scared and started crying. But BN loved it though. Afterward they got candy canes and got to pick a present from his bag. That is definitely something that we will do every year from now on. It was awesome.

After we went to the Breakfast with Santa, we went to the library and saw a Christmas Puppet show. It was funny, the lady that does the show is named Cora and so when we said her name, BN got all excited and pointed to me and wanted to know if it was me...LOL. That was very cleaver of her I think. Anyways, we enjoyed the show and then we got some books and movies and went home. What a wonderful morning!

Jr Jazz Stuff

Wednesday December 3, 2008

Today was the first day of Jr. Jazz! :) It was so fun. I have five little kids on my team. They are so cute and so diligent. I love how persistent they are. Little ones are always such a testimony builder to me. Even in this situation that has nothing to do with the gospel (they are playing basketball) I can still relate it. They work so hard, so persistent and diligent until they reach their goal (lets say dribbling the ball), and when they reach that, they don't even blink, they don't wait for a big who-ha and celebration, they just move onto the next goal (passing the ball). And so it continues. They don't complain (very much) and they make lots of mistakes, but they try hard to make up for it and become better for it. How much different is that from our daily lives. We should be so much like the little child. So quick to learn and the desire to learn and always trying to stay on the path that will lead back to eternal salvation.
Anyways, back to Jr. Jazz...They all did so great. They are learning how to do the basics, dribble, pass and shoot. That is mostly all we will work on. They are too small to worry about plays and other things. The first game should be interesting. LOL. That's next Thursday (the 11). I can't wait.
